We Offer the Following:

Enrollment in a private school in the State of California (Annual filing of an R-4 affidavit with the California State Department of Education). Accredited diploma. (Accredited by NALSAS (National Association for the Legal Support of Alternative Schools). Member of NCACS (The National Coalition of Alternative Community Schools) Transfer and maintenance of student records. Communication, via e-mail, fax, phone (collect) or U.S. mail with enrolling families as needed and with local school officials when indicated. An independent study manual which includes: Frequently asked questions, helpful hints on getting started, a curriculum guide or typical course of study for grades K - 12, a resource guide for purchasing books and educational materials (A curriculum is not provided. Parents are free to make their own choices by utilizing their local library, the Internet, local bookstores or Branford Grove's online bookstore), and a student I.D. card for the current school year. (Please include a passport sized black and white or color photo when enrolling. Replacement I.D. cards will be issued at an additional fee.). Teacher I.D. cards are also available. Record keeping forms including: Monthly attendance and activity sheets, Student evaluations, Teacher education and experience records, and an Independent study contract with materials list. Requirements for participation in Branford Grove School's Independent Study program:

Families must be online and have access to email and the Internet. Parents must submit: Monthly attendance reports Student evaluations each semester (requirements vary based on grade level). We are happy to answer basic questions regarding record keeping which will supplement the examples given in the Independent Study Handbook. However, should you need extensive one-to-one assistance, there will be an additional fee which will be calculated at the rate of $25 per hour. Teacher education and experience record Independent study contract including a curriculum and materials list. Annual enrollment is for all or part of each school year, Sept 1 through August 31. Fee does not include cost of certificates and/or diplomas. Refunds, less a $75 processing fee, will be given if the school is notified within 10 days of receipt of Branford Grove School 's materials. All materials must be returned along with your reasons for terminating enrollment. Upon receipt of the materials and written explanation for termination, a refund will be given. There is an additional charge for diplomas or certificates. A $25 fee will be charged for any returned checks.
